“While in St. Louis, my wife started coughing up blood, Dr. Pachtman said to take her to the nearest ER. The ER quickly determined that she was bleeding internally, but decided to just wait and see; it
was a Friday night. Dr. Pachtman called me to see how she was doing, and was very concerned with her
hemoglobin level. He then called the ER doctor directly, amazingly they immediately started
transfusing her, she ended up needing 4 units of blood. I will always be thankful that Dr. Pachtman
